Living in Europe for a year - Advice Please!?

I'm in my mid-20's and I have a great job, great friends and family but I have been thinking of taking a year out of my life and living in Europe for a year (preferably Italy).

I feel like this is the time to do it while I have no commitments to hold me back and I just can't shake the feeling that I need to do this.

BUT the big question is - How will I support myslef?? Has anyone done this and have any advice for me?

  1. you should definately go for it!  That would be a great experience.  You can look online at websites, such as:  workingabroad.org.  you can pick a place where you wish to live and they have a listing of possible job opportunities.  I think the important thing is to be flexible and open about what you would be willing to do.  Good luck!

  2. Try to find a governament contract job to make money. Then they will pay for you to get over here and pay for your stuff to be shipped. plus you will have more support if you have problems when you live here. Go to http://www.usajobs.opm.gov/ to look for jobs plus there are lots of other companies in the states. Also then if you like it you maybe to stay longer if you want. I've been here for 4 years,

  3. In Italy is very difficult find a job but in England is very easy.
