Living in PR from Nov-Jan?

Question

I plan to visit Puerto Rico ( near San Juan ) from Nov-Jan. Any ideas on places to stay for around $1100 per month. I will need a place that is close to everything as I will not have a car. Any feedback is appreciated

san juan its very expensive, if ur staying in a hotel u need more than 1100. but if u rent a place from a local, that its offering temporary rental rooms, then u might be lucky. go to sanjuanstar.com or el nuevo dia websites under classifieds.

Thats a great time to be in San Juan. We celebrate Chrstmas this whole time. January is the San Sebastian Street Festival too. You should look at San Juan's neighborhoods of Viejo San Juan, Condado, Isla Verde & Ocean Park. They are prcey but they are close to everything. There are buses & taxi's & publicos (pulic cars).

San Juan is expensive. This price can rent you a fairly nice apartment/condo but people don't typically rent for only 2-3 months. I would go to the classifieds & contact people renting apartments, see if they will be willing to rent you the place for this time period. You might have luck trying a complex or building with multiple apts. If you can't find anyone to agree to this, then you will need to get a vacation rental.  This will be harder because the price goes by day or week & is much higher. Try to negotiate with them also & agree to a cheaper price because its a longer stay. Goodluck!

Check out this site for classifieds. ww.clasificadosonline.com. The area of Condado or Hato Rey should be good for you. Condado is close to the beach. Hato Rey is like the downtown(business town) of Puerto Rico. take care, Raul
