  1. We don't live in one but my husband had a old work van he converted into a camper and we've stayed 15 days in it on vacation. Space is a premium so you got to learn how to cook in 3 pans, cooking & heating fuel which we use propane 30 lb bottle, bathing is a problem so he devised a outdoor shower with a 10 gal Jerry can, laundry has to be done in a washateria, have plenty of dvd movies and a 13" TV & dvd player. Get ready for tight quaters.

  2. As opposed to things like mobile homes, campers are intended for "camping".  In other words, the walls are poorly insulated, the windows are single-paned, they can get cold really quickly in cool weather. Likewise, they can become quite warm in summer.  They also aren't built for 24/7 use.  You will find the fridge, stove, AC, battery, inverter, etc., will break down faster than similar items do in a home.

There are lots of "little things" that become annoying.  Internet service, laundry, the piddly showers, low-ceilings (if you're tall), very tiny space, that "smell" that campers out-gas, refilling propane tanks.  Not everyone is up for this. It depends on your personality.
