Living in canada working in the usa?

i am a usa citizen... so here i am on vaction in canada with college buddy's and want to stay up in canada i can have a room at there house but i can't work in canada so would jump the border 5 miles aways for working

now do i have train in my driver license? also do i pay canadian tax o usa or what? do i have to pay into there health care plan.. do i get there health care plan or buy into a work one??? i have a full passport and i am going to order the new fastpass "passport card thing"

.. i brain is shoot.. just wanted to know..

  1. As a US citizen you can stay (live) in Canada for only six months.  However, you would be crossing the border most days, so I am not sure how that fits.  The situation you are describing would be picked up eventually by officials on both sides of the border because it would be recorded that you were crossing the border everyday.  Each time you cross you are asked the purpose of your visit, how long you are staying, etc.  

    You would not be eligible for Canadian health care nor for a Canadian passport because you would not be eligible to live in Canada.
