Living in devon?

i live in devon and just curious who else lives here and what they think about life down here..??

I am an Italian who has met his Yorkshire wife in Zambia and has travelled and worked in three different continents.

When 12 years ago I had a job offered in Exeter, I was very concerned about leaving the beauty and the tranquillity of Central Scotland to move to Devon.

The offer was to good to refuse so I came here, and I have lived in Sidbury (Sidmouth) ever since. I have retired last year and have really enjoyed every day of the past 12 years.

Beautiful County, Coast line and Country side. I have never regretted coming here.

I've lived in Devon all of my life really, but I'm only 16 haha. All of my family and I mean all 40 or 50 of them have lived in Southall London. My Mum and Dad say it's much better down her from their point of view cos they have us as kids and want us to have a better life.

Tbh I hate life down here, the only thing which is a bonus is the beaches (I live in Torbay) everything else is boring and tbh really Devon is full of 40+ people settling down with families or old people stuck in homes to come and see the sea before they die. Trust me I know, it's packed in Torbay with them.

I understand Devon is good to grow up in compared to London but a lot of my friends for example are naive to the affect of calling someone a 'n*gger' for a joke whereas pretty much do that London, Manchester or Liverpool (just examples of big cities) where people come from all over the world you just might as well end up dead! It's annoying.

But as I've grown older I've began to hate it here more nad more, it's boring tbh! I visit London every month to see family, and it's just so much more interesting, busy, amazing people ect compared to down here, ooh arr ooh arr !

I'm definately moving away come after Uni !!!!
