Living in the UK with a New Zealand Passport?

I heard its possible for a New Zealand passport holder to live in Australia. And I also heard that its possible for them to live in the UK too, is that correct?

  1. Absolutely, but you will need a visa, which you must apply for at the UK consulate. Common options are working holiday visas, which are relatively easy to apply for, but only last a couple of years. If you are studying or working there, you can apply for visas that will let you do these things, but note that you cannot work if you are studying or study if you are working. If one of your grandparents was born in the UK you might be able to get an ancestry visa, which has fewer restrictions. All visas have the basic requirement that you be able to support yourself without public help - so you won't be eligable for the dole or any benefits.     Additionally, if you have an EU passport you may have the right to live and work in the UK without restrictions. Seriously consider applying if you have any connection to a European Union country, such as a parent you came from there, or you were born there yourself.
