Hello everyone,

i'm relocating to Melbourne. (just got my PR) and i'm trying to find a temp place to stay for a gd 6 months. I'll be busy looking for jobs upon arrival and i was looking at living at uniloge.

http://www.unilodge.com.au/Melbourne/Flinders/

A fully furnished studio apt is going at $293 weekly. Hence, i need some advice on whether this is an acceptable price. Also, is there anyone who has experience living at this apt?

Appreciate your comments on this.

  1. Make sure you do your math right with unilodge.  There are hidden charges like exit cleaning fees and internet, laundary etc.  Cooking is done in common areas too although some have private mini kitchette setups in the studio.   Unilodge are kind of expensive but if you are coming from overseas it can be convienient for you, especially considering that there is a rental shortage for appartments at the moment.

Also, you probably know, but I think you need to be studying full time to live at unilodge.   If that's the case then get in contact with your university accomodation service and they might have other international students who have city apartments they would like to share, and you would probably save a bit of money doing so.

    Good luck!
