  1. Is it a nuclear power plant or a coal burning one?

  2. 1. The chances of a meltdown are TINY.

    2. Even in the event of an incident at the facility, the chances of you being affected are very small. The population living around 3 Mile Island received little or no increased radiation exposure because the facility's containment systems worked (note: Chernobyl did not have the containment systems our reactors do).

    3. The radiation exposure to the areas around nuclear plants from normal operations is pretty much zero.

  3. I would say move away. Apart from the possibility of a meltdown I am sure there will be unpleasant noises and traffic noises coming from near the powerplant.

There could also be a Chance you could get dangerous powerplant radiation which could affect your health.
