Hello,

I am wondering what the EASIEST way to move legally to France and get a job their would be. I know you need a company to sponsor you to get a work visa, but when you get a work visa, does that mean you have permission to live in France aswell? I am REALLY stuck on this dilemma, it is my biggest dream to move to France :-)....Any help would be great!! Please, I REALLY need to know how to get to France the easiest way. Thank you So so so so so! much!!!

  1. I don't think they expect you to commute from the UK or spain.  Also, I'm pretty sure you have to pay U.S. income taxes if you're a US citizen living abroad. Pretty lame

  2. I think what once you get that working visa, you can apply at your 'prefecture de police' for a 'sejour' - i think that it is the equivalent of the US greencard.

If you are serious about this, you really should contact the french consulate in your country, they can answer your question the best + it is possible that ppl make a mistake on yahoo answers whereas ppl from the consulate shouldn't
