Livvy Inn looking for second success at Hamilton
It seems that Hamilton racecourse is the Lucinda Russell trained chestnut gelding Livvy Inn’s cup of tea as he has always performed well over here. Since the dawn of the calendar year, his only victory has come at the same venue. Today again, the seven-year-old
veteran horse will try his utmost to finish first in the Griffiths & Armour Handicap that is set to go down at Hamilton.
Unlike past, the ground is heavy but it does not matter a lot for the brilliant gelding who has proved his skills in every sort of race conditions. With his eyes on £3,235, the American gelding will run confidently over 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 17 yards alongside
seven strong rivals.
Livvy Inn took a long break from December 2011 to June 2012 to refine his skills and gain some momentum. This diligence paid him off well as he marvellously won the Rogano Glasgow Lady Amateur Riders' Handicap at his comeback on June 28. That contest took
place at Hamilton.
During the next month, the Camelia Casby bred gelding finished 5th in the Bet Mobile At BetVictor.com Handicap, held at Ayr.
He went on to get a 5th and a 7th position at Perth----both were the pathetic performances indeed. Overall, he has two triumphs to his name.
Livvy Inn is going to try Paddy Aspell for the first time in his career. He last won under Miss C. Walton. It is hoped that the gelding will register another sterling success at this venue. He has all the chances to thrive as none of his rivals is potential
enough to outplay him easily.
Terenzium is likely to perform well and stand second in the race. The Micky Hammond trained brown gelding has won 6 of his total 90 starts. He is the most experienced of all the eight contestants.
The veteran horse last won in June 2011. Since the starts of this year, he has been struggling badly. On July 12, he finished as the runner-up in the 15-runner race of the Amateur Jockeys Association Handicap (For Amateur Riders).
So let us enjoy the way Livvy Inn sizzles. Good luck to all the runners.
