  1. It is not likely that it is a Water Dragon. There is no such species as the Eastern Water Dragon. There are Chinese Water dragons, and Austrailian water dragons, neither of which are native to anywhere in the united states.

It is more than likely a type of Swift. The most common amung those parts are northern fence lizards, which are a type of Swift. Emerald swifts, even texas swifts can be found up in Tennessee!!

They are insectivores, they eat crickets, worms, roaches, etc. Some species are even omnivores, eating veggies as well as insects. They require about a 90 degree basking temperature, and full spectrum UV light. They are skiddish, and are not big on handling. But are fun to watch. Put plenty of substrate (soil) in the habitat, they love to burrow. They have a tendancy of dropping their tails easily, so if he gets away from you, don't grab his tail. It is difficult for swifts to regrow their tail.

Many captive caught species don't take to captivity well, so if he does not eat within a few days, re-release him. He may be too stressed to eat.

    Good Luck!!

  2. just let it go.  it was taking care of itself just fine before your brother came along.  it's the right thing to do.

  3. it sounds like you caught a fence lizard (link1) heres a care sheet for them(link2). personally though i would recommend that you let it go because some wild fence lizards just dont adjust to captivity and feeding it to your turtle may give it parasites that could also kill you turtle. so just do your research and/or do the right thing and let it go so it lives to its potential
