  1. WOW! I'm not sure. I live in Florida and we get the big and I mean pretty big red and blue ones and then the black racers. They don't chase us but some of the lizards are poisonous. However, they are just like a snake not much we can due except get rid of them when you see them....

I am interested to see if anyone else has a way to get rid of them! Good question!

  2. Yeah, wow! I used to live in the Fla. Keys, and we had gigantanormous iguanas that were a huge problem, they ate all the flowers and pooped all over peoples decks and boats, but they didn't chase us! All you can really do is to disrupt the food cycle (the insects they eat), but I don't advocate spreading insecticide everywhere just because some lizards are around, because there is a whole huge natural food chain going on. Can you post a pic? Usually they don't like a lot of movement, so you could try to go out and stomp around or lightly rake the yard to chase them away before the young'uns go out to play. I too am waiting to see other answers!

  3. Purchase a flame thrower and scare them off, if not cook them....for food....I hear that they amphibian meat is great on the bbq....tastes like a cross between chicken and beef...

  4. We have rainbow lizards  that generally run away from people.  Every now and then one may turn around and run at you to scare you off.  They're not poisonous.  They drop their tail if caught.
