Michael Llodra/Nenad Zimonjic beat Frantisek Cermak/Filip Polasek 6-3, 6-2
French/Serbian team of Michael Llodra and Nenad Zimonjic thrashed Czech/Slovakian pair of Frantisek Cermak and Filip Polasek in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 in the third round of French Open at Roland Garros in Paris on Sunday. It took
the French/Serbian team only an hour and one minute to oust their opponents.
Llodra and Zimonjic needed a single break of serve in the first set to clinch it 6-3. The French/Serbian pair fired four aces and 83 percent of the first serves, bagging 72 percent of the points on them in the first set. The left
and right hand combination converted one of the two break points and saved the only break point they faced on their own serve in the opening set.
The French/Serbian team bulldozed their opponents in the second set, breaking Cermak and Polasek in the third and fifth game to win the set 6-2. Llodra and Zimonjic delivered three aces but their first serve percentage dropped
severely as they hit a meagre 37 percent of the first serves. However, the fifth ranked team amazingly converted 100 percent of the first serves into points in the second set. The French/Serbian team won 50 percent of the receiving points in the second set.
The fourth seeds capitalised on both break point opportunities they created in the second set.
Llodra and Zimonjic will face Scott Lipsky and Rajeev Ram of USA in the quarterfinals.
