So far, the first choice goalkeeper for Tottenham had been http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brad-Friedel-c7953, who has been impressive since the season started. The American shot-stopper had kept Lloris on the bench, who had to make do with appearances in the Europa League and the Capital One
Cup. There had been much debate and speculation about the player’s future at the club, with many hinting that he might leave in the winter transfer window.
Lloris finally made his second start in the Premier League against Arsenal, and was disappointed at having let in 5 goals in such a crucial derby. The player was however not at fault, and had still managed to show glimpses of his brilliance as he made a
number of saves.
The two most notable contributions by the Frenchman were perhaps when he prevented the ball from going in the net twice from his compatriot Olivier Giroud’s head. The keeper was however left helpless as Arsenal ran rampant and scored 5 spectacular goals.

“It was difficult. With the red card, we exploded in mid air. It is never easy to concede five, but it sure feels good to be on that pitch.”
Lloris had earlier spoken about the difficulty he has faced at coming to terms with being second choice goalkeeper at Tottenham. He however remains optimistic and waits for his chance to get the No.1 goalkeeping jersey. He added:
“Will I play in the next few matches? It is the manager you need to ask that question to. I always give my best in training.”
