i have a student acount and had 1500 overdraft available, the all of a sudden about a month ago they decided i couldnt increase my overdaft, ( i currently have a £700 one) even though id had it higher than this before,

now i have gone 3.63 over my 700 limit which was repayed the next morning, and they want me to pay £21 for this!!

is there a way to no pay this as i obviously dont have the money too?

also if not how do i pay it does it just come out of my account?

  1. They will send you a letter saying when they will take the £21 from your bank acount (usually 3 weeks if you were with the halifax) if you have insufficent funds to meet this you will be charged again a £21 fee - this could go on for ever.

In the past I was charged a £30 fee for being 10p over my overdraft I rang them and they waved the fee as a sign of good faith , would try ringing and explaining whats happened
