Loaded camcorder video onto computer but no picture, just sound!?!?

Question

I have a JVC Camcorder with 20gig Digital Memory. I just shot a video not to long ago, but when I went to load it onto Windows Movie Maker, there was no picture, just audio.

Anyone know whats wrong? Do I have to format the video or do anything else to it before I put it in Windows Movie Maker?

Your videos have been recorded in MPEG-2  - great for DVDs but not so good for editing.  WMM can't handle MPEG-2 so you've got two options - either you convert the video to something that WMM can handle, but the quality will suffer, or you buy an editor that can handle MPEG-2.  I'd go for the second option and look at Sony's Vegas Movie Studio.
