Loaned right-back Frederik Sorensen signs four year contract with Juventus FC – Serie A Update
Young Juventus FC centre-back, Frederik Sorensen, has signed a four-year contract with the Turin giants. The defender was loaned for the season from the Danish first division outfit, Lyngby Boldklub, and the Old Lady had the option to purchase the young
footballer at the season end. Juve were keen to buy the young Dane long before the season end and the deal has been finalized between the two outfits.
The Danish usually plays at the position of a centre-back, but due to injury crisis faced by the Lady Killers this season, the 19-year-old was moved to right-back position in place of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Motta-c23718. Consequently, Sorensen had a lot of playing time with the
Turin giants. The young sensation has impressed the Italian powerhouse with his great physical attributes, long range passing abilities and his excellent reading of the game.
The Juve sporting director, Giuseppe Marotta, and the player held meetings last week and the two parties have finally agreed on terms for the new contract. As per the contract, the 19-year-old right-back will be staying at Stadio Olimpico di Torino until
summer of 2015.
Moreover, the Juve director also revealed that the Old Lady will have a new game plan implemented for the future and for that, meetings with the board will be held in the course of coming weeks. Marotta, while giving an interview to Sky Sports, said:
"This week there will be a Board that will review the development plan for the future and on that occasion we will also discuss the economic resources available. Speaking of the future, the President is in full support of implementing new strategies to improvise
improvements. The future will hold important decisions for the club.”
Juve had a shaky season and have failed to achieve the targets they had set. Currently, they are 7th in the league with 57 points, 3 points behind AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 who have 60 points. With just 2 games left in the season, the dream of achieving the UEFA
Champions League berth seems a farfetched notion. The Old Lady will have to revamp the squad and redefine the targets for the upcoming season.
