Lobe piercing swollen?

i pierced my ear lobe professionally 4 days ago . my left one is doing great but my right is swollen and its so swollen that the earing is tight and i cant losen it because its already as lose as it can be . i clean it 3 times a day with the solution they gave me and i also do sea salt soaks. do u have any advice on what i can do to help the swelling go down ?

besides going to the doctor

It could be an alergic reaction. If the earring is silver or copper your ear could get infected. The gold plating could be bad on the earring as well, providing its gold plated.

Best bet, read the bottle of solution they gave you.

If it was from Clare's or a place like that stop using it!

It contains alcohol which should never be used on piercings.

Just switch to doing sea salt soaks.

You can also clean them with anti-bacterial soap if you would like.

To help with swelling take some ibuprofen and you can use ice as well, just make sure that you wrap the bag in a paper towel.  Avoid contact with it, don't touch or mess with it unless your hands are fully clean.  Try not to hit it on anything as well.

hay i had the same thing happen they had 2 take mine out because they said that they must have pirced through some nerve or something the best thing to do is go back to the place you got it done explain you dont want it out they suggested for me to take it out and put a sleeper in so its got room they might do they same good luck
