Local US virtual numbers?

I'm looking for company that would let me have virtual local numbers (10 for now) that can be forwarded ( I guess over VoIP) to cell pones and lend lines (in USA). It should be no significant upfront cost.

Try CallCentric.  They provide DID's (or virtual numbers as you call them) for USA/Canada for as low as $1.95/month.  Buy as many DID's (Direct Inbound Dialing numbers) as you like.  Manage them all with your on-line admin web portal.  Forward them where ever you want at very low rates.
