Local and global winds are set in motion by air moving in convection cells. Describe the motion of air in a convection cell. Be sure to include direction of air movement and relative temperature of the moving air.

  1. warm air rises, following the path of least resistance i.e. if it hits a pocket of dense cold air it may shift horizontally before continuing upward.
