  1. well you would not go to the local embassy or consulate so why ask your question here.

  2. if your already qualified just say yes .. i guess you should already know ! check what it says on your qualification and what it allows you to do !

  3. you have to go and talk to social services they can tell you how to go about it... even thought you are qualified you still have to be vet-ed in order to do so

  4. You could just have an informal arrangement between you and your friend; however should you wish to avoid any future difficulties (for example if one of the boys accidentally hurt himself and his mother blamed you) you would be wise to contact the Children's Services department at your local council and going through the process of becoming a formally registered childminder; this is, by necessity, a fairly long and complex process, and it may incur some costs (insurance, etc.) but would be worth it in the long-run.

You should also check that if your friend pays you for looking after her sons, you are not going to be accused of running a business from home, which is almost certainly against the planning regulations in a residential area, so the council would advise you on making a "change-of-use" planning application.

  5. If you are going to be doing this in your home then you will need to contact the council as there are numerous rules and regulations that you have to fulfill and you may even need to undergo a police check...

Sign of the times I'm afraid...

  6. Say yes! and look after them. I don't know what you mean. Add on additional details and explain!! errm you can be a childminder but if you are already qualified you don't need a licence - if you already have one??
