Already sinking in the league, Nancy Lorraine players were dealt with further torment after a 50 strong group of angry supporters invaded the players’ locker room demanding explanations for their team’s slow descent in to h**l
While talking to Canal Plus, Nancy Lorraine president, Jacques Rousselot, already fuming due to his side’s poor showing, condemned the actions of about 50 fans who entered the players’ dressing room on the eve of the side’s latest Ligue 1 defeat.
Almost 50 fans managed to penetrate the corridors of the stadium and went straight into the locker room to confront the team’s players for not being able to play the way a normal Ligue 1 side should be playing.
However, the club’s president was not happy with the way the fans conducted themselves.
“This is absurd and intolerable. A grotesque and out of time scene. It boggles the mind. Sports and especially football, does not deserve such treatment. These pseudo-fans have nothing to do with football. I do not tolerate such acts and I’ll get those responsible.
I will never accept these attacks on the integrity of my players.”
Last night, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AS-Nancy-c38468 Lorraine were dealt another blow in their aim to get out of the relegation zone when they lost 3-1 at home to Frederic Antonetti’s side. The game was indeed a painful experience yet again for the Tomblaine natives as a lacklustre showing
condemned http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jean-c18112 Fernandez’s side to yet another defeat in the campaign.
General feeling among the Nancy natives is that their beloved club is already condemned to Ligue 2 football. As things stand, Les Chardons are stuck rock bottom in the Ligue 1 standings with an abysmal goal difference of -16, something no one had predicted
in the beginning of the season.
Moreover, a team that finished fourth in the 2007/2008 campaign, is yet to register its first win of the Championnat. Despite the presence of one of the most renowned coaches in the Championnat in the shape of Jean Fernandez, Nancy are struggling a lot and
it appears that they will surely be playing Ligue 2 football if they don’t turn things around.
