  1. Reboot into safemode (restart the computer and start pushing f8) a screen with several options will come up. Choose "Safemode with Networking"

If you don't have one already download a good antivirus software and install it. Also make sure to update it. Free ones include:

    avg - http://free.avg.com

    clamwin - http://clamwin.com

avast - http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.ht... (best in my opinion)

Make sure you set your scanner to quarantine any viruses it finds.

Reboot again into safemode (same way as above) except this time just choose "Safemode" (no networking)

Run the virus scanner and see if it detects/removes any "RJump" viruses

After you're done test out your pc in normal operations

  2. Your computer thinks your C and D drive are files. This is probably due to a file called autorun.ini in your C:\ and D:\ folder. Someone put it there, so when you click on the drive, a file, probably a virus, will run. Try this: go to start>>run>> type (without the quotes) "cmd" and hit enter. This will bring up command prompt. Type (without the quotes) "del C:\autorun.ini" and hit enter. Then type (without the quotes) "del D:\autorun.ini" and hit enter. If this doesn't solve the problem, this will:

Most of the time, this is not due to a serious virus. This is probably due to some amusing piece of malware. I recommend you to run a virus scan, since that same piece of malware might have infected your computer. However, this is probably due to an autorun.ini file. Now, if you have an Apple Ipod Video, then it is likely that it was infected by the manufacturer with an Rjump virus. When you run the Rjump virus, it creates a copy of itself into the windows system directory %Windir%\RAVMON.EXE . So, if you have an Apple Ipod video, so and type (without quotes) "%Windir%" into the run dialogue from the start menu. Search for and delete RAVMON.EXE . If you do find Ravmon.exe, so and type (without quotes) "regedit" into the run dialogue. Hit the plus sign on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then hitthe plus sign on Software, then hit the plus sign on Microsoft, then hit the plus sign on Windows, then hit the plus sign on CurrentVersion, then hit the plus sign on Run, and then go and delete the entry that says "RavAV" = "%Windir%\RAVMON.EXE"

  3. Your computer is INFECTED!!

Use online virus scanner (such as trendmicro housecall) to remove this virus.
