Neighbor says he is, but I have my doubts.

I've never seen a cat whose fangs stuck out when his mouth was closed. He does have a shiny black coat that I think is like a Bombay.

  1. I got a bombay from the rspca, they said he was a domestic short hair but when I took him to the vet, my vet went crazy she was a bombay breeder!! and fell in love with him....

have a look on the net for photos of bombays you'll be able to tell trust me.

  2. Bombay's are black, But you can see hints of sable brown when you see them in the light. They always have very shiny, Short coats. They have a flat nose, Too. And very big round gold eyes. I know because I thought my black cat was one and I think he is. They are also very vocal.

  3. Bombay's are more chocolate, they're not black.

Without papers, the cat would only be considered a domestic shorthair, not any particular breed. Fang length is genetic, some do have longer fangs than others, it's not a sign of any specific breed.

Considering Bombay's have gold to orange eyes and you said this one had green, it's not a Bombay.
