  1. Here is one that is slightly longer.  It at least gives the service information.

    Mr. Willie Clarence Swan, Jr.

    (March 21, 1963 - March 1, 2008)

Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Royal Chapel of Memories with Pastor Tina Swan-Branch officiating. Interment will be in the Bailey Chapel Cemetery in Killen, Alabama. Visitation will be from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Royal Funeral Home Chapel.

Public viewing will begin on Friday, March 7, 2008 from 10:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; Saturday, March 8, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

You can sign the guestbook at the funeral home website

There is also a picture of Mr. Swan there.   I am sorry for your loss.  Take care.

  2. There is no such town as Huntiville in Alabama. There is a Huntsville, with an "S". The newspaper there does not post obituaries. If you start here:

    http://www.htimes.com/mainindex.html

and click enough and wait for long, badly-designed pages to load, you eventually get to paid death notices:

    Swan Jr., Willie

    March 21, 1963 - March 1, 2008

Willie Clarence Swan Jr., 44, of Huntsville died Saturday. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Bailey Chapel Cemetery.

Published in The Huntsville Times on 3/5/2008.

  3. I didn't find a recent Obit but I found this older one:

Mr. Willie Swans, 73, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Candler County Hospital, Metter.  The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Cooper Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Pierce officiating. Burial will be in Twin City Cemetery.  Mr. Swans, a native of Emanuel County, was retired. He was a member of Cooper Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, nine daughters, three sisters, 28 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.  Whitaker Funeral Home, Metter, is in charge of arrangements.
