I would like to start up a catering company, as such i need a suitable and cheap commercial space in south manchester.

who are the best people to talk to? looking at something in the region of 50m2

You could either try the local Business Link they usually have details of local premises and can give help & advice as you start up the business. Or try the local authority, because they are usualy keen to help business start ups they may well have discounted premises available because you're just setting out.
