Locating an inmate?

e attempted the BOP inmate locater site, but found absolutely nothing. I am searching for an inmate that was arrested by the FBI back in May of 2006 on drug distribution and possession charges. His name is Van Bennum. He was arrested in the state of Washington. I haven't been able to track his whereabouts since he's been arrested, and I don't even know if he's been sentenced yet. I found it weird that I can't find him on the BOP site. If he's on a witness protection program, will that protect public information?

On a side note, before he was arrested, he called, and the caller ID read "Van Pulfrey" rather than "Van Bennum" but when I answered it, he said he had wrong number. I did a quick google search of "Van Pulfrey" and read some criminal logs about a Van Pulfrey being arrested on possession of drug paraphenalia and it occured in the same area of where he lives. I don't understand the whole last name thing, considering the fact that his last name is Bennum, not Pulfrey,

  1. Because he was arrest by the FBI does not mean that he was charged federally.  He may be in a state facility.  Also if it was the first time he was arrested, he would most likely be in whatever name he gave, so if he used an alias, that would show up.
