I have an iPod touch and a new mac. The mac is fully running and when I plugged my iPod into the computer iTunes opened up and I prevented it from syncing (i have songs from a different computer on my iPod already). I didn't register the iPod or anything and iTunes recognized the iPod but, when I want to open up the iPod from the desktop or the my computer folder it doesn't show up. I can't open up my iPod without useing iTunes. Why not? Please help, thanks!

  1. your ipod has a block on it so you can't open it as just an open disc(like your C drive or whatever.  this is to prevent doing what you (and everyone) wants to do, which is bring music from a different computer.

    there is hope!

google yourself some programs you can buy, or download for free(at your own risk) that can assit you in breaking that block

    good luck.
