  1. The aircraft was written off in May of 1975, after being purchased by the South Vietnamese Air Force.

Interestingly enough 55-007 is sitting in La Paz, Bolivia with no engines

  2. Lockheed may know where it is.

The Marines/Navy might know how it was disposed of and if it was sold to a private owner. If so, then the aviation authority in that country could still have its record.

  3. It went to the South Vietnamese Air Force and was "written off" the books in 1975. This could mean it was wrecked, abandoned, scrapped, or any number of other things. See this list. I know the webmaster and the information is reliable:  http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/1955.html

  4. I would suggest trying to get hold of Davis-Monthan AFB's aircraft boneyard, they would have on record all of their aircraft, and have been the primary boneyard for military aircraft. I would like to add, though, God Bless you for serving your country, my grandfather was a flight engineer on C-123's in Vietnam, and my father is retired Air Force as well. Thank you for your service, I pray you got more out of it than it took out of you.
