It extends from the southernmost part of the continent up to  Rio ***** and Neuquen in Argentina and to the same latitude in Chile.

It's annoying that the least proportion of land (Chilean Patagonia) receives the most precipitations. If it were the other way round, South America would contain one of the biggest deciduous forests of the world. D@mn wind that blows from the west.
