  1. I've always used a little lock tight on screws on my snowboard that loosen a lot. i've never used any warranties on my boards... so. i cant help ya there. The lock tight will keep the screws tight! If thats what you're looking for then do it. Most of the time, you can use nail polish remover or paint thinner to "erase" lock tight, but be careful with it getting on your board.

oh-- and be fast when you put the lock tight on the screws, because it dries quickly!! ask a friend to lend you an extra pair of hands because time is of the essence

  2. Loc-Tite can degrade baseplate plastics apparently...

    " Not Covered

        * Breakage caused by any type of binding modification not authorized by Burton.

        * Material breakdown caused by the use of solvents or resins such as LOC-TITE®. "

That's in the W48 section on the Burton page, so I would assume that it can cause some breakdown.  However, I've heard a from another boarder here that using teflon-tape (plumbers kind) does the same job, and it doesn't degrade aynthing.

  3. Every binding that I have bought has locktite on the screws to begin with.  I can't see any reason why using locktite would void the warranty.

  4. If you are worried that using lock tight will void your warranty, go get yourself a roll of teflon tape and wrap a layer or two on the screws and then secure your binding. Teflon tapes can be easily removed and it will make your screws tight.
