Lock windows from outside(not a computer but a regular window)?

is there anything that lets you lock your window from the outside??? Dont ask why. I cant find anything.

  1. Actually There is a couple of ways to do this.

    If you take fine wire like a high A string off a 12 string guitar or very strong string,  open the window slightly and drop the ends between the panes and loop it over the lever. close the window and pull the wire until it locks. let go of one end of the string and pull it out with the other end.

    if you have the sliding windows place a stick slightly less than the width of the window in the side next to the stationary pane and leaning against the movable one. When you close the window the stick will slide down into the track and is practically impossible to remove from the outside.


  2. I would imagine that the extra locks fitted to doors - the ones with the * shaped locking key might work

  3. Really bad idea... traps people inside in a fire or similar emergency.

  6. Yes, a nail in the jam, or if you want to open it latter a s***w. you can still kick out the glass in a emergency, but the kid will not be able to sneak out.
