Earlier today i did a system restore on a computer with several accounts, when the computer started up again there was only an owner account, however i still have my documents from the other accounts in Documents and Settings but because they were private documents i can no longer access them. How can i get back into them.

  1. You have to "take ownership" of those folders.

I trust you have the blessing of whoever owns those files to access them.

  2. Try "Undo my last restoration".

  3. Maybe try to create a new user with your old username? (Back up My Docs first)

  4. You must have restored to a long time ago, or only recently created the other profiles. The only thing that might work is recreating the profile(s) or logging in as an administrator and right clicking on the documents folder, and changing the permissions to read/write for all users and admins.
