Locker room etiquette?

I recently joined a gym and I've always had this question on my mind? I know it's OK for guys to be naked briefly in a locker room, almost no one objects to that. I know that some people object to the fact that other men like to walk around naked in the locker room.

I understand that no one likes to look at another guy's stuff. That's why I am usually only naked when changing my clothes or drying off with a towel.

The one part that I have a problem with is the trip between the locker ON THE WAY to the shower? I am usually all sweaty and feel dirty, I do not like to put the towel on my waist when I feel like that. Is it considered acceptable to walk naked for ten feet until I reach the shower stall?

Otherwise, I always try to dry off inside my shower stall and limit the time I am naked around other guys. What do you people think?

Sammy,  there is nothing wrong with being naked in the locker room.  It is not necessary for anyone to keep themselves covered up.  You do whatever makes you feel comfortable.  Walking from your locker to the shower without wrapping the towel around your waist is perfectly acceptable.  

I will take exception to your comment "no one likes to look at another guy's stuff".  In my opinion, most guys do indeed sneak a look at other guys.  Nothing is wrong with that.....it's just what guys do...and they will rarely admit it.

You could wrap a towel around your waist and pick up another towel to use for the shower. In my school I never took a shower after gym because I had sixth hour and just took when I got home. But if it was me I wouldn't care anyway and am pretty sure no one else would either. It is a locker room.

dude as long as your in the locker room your okay to be naked anywhere. your not showing off your just doing your stuff. It is acceptable to walk from the locker to the shower nakid. untill a few years ago my health club was naked in the hot room or sauna. now you are required to wear some shorts.

From what i picked up, walking naked to the shower isn't bad..

you wanna here some bad locker room stories??

A guy i knew was in the gym everybody towled up... the guy i knew was sittin down..

another man comes up puts his leg on the bench.. REMOVES his towel, and carries on a conversation with the guy..

Its normal yes do it. Dont be shy its ok i mean its a lockroom anyways.  I go to the gym and i workout and  i hate changing so i take my time and cool out for a bit.

You'll be fine. People have seen a p***s before and they'll see another one soon after. Things happen and most don't care.

You're supposed to be able to be naked in a locker room. That's why they have them. Do what is most convenient for you. If some guy isn't comfortable with you being naked, let him go home and change.

Don't wrap the clean towel around your waist that's disgusting,just walk the mile:they all have a p***s and once you are done:the next one is walking the mile.

Get used to it like everybody else.

And you do limit your"naked"time by drying off in the stall.

Its a lockerroom and its not like they've never seen a d**k before, every guy has one, they wont care if your naked.

I think you worry to much about nothing.  I've never objected to men walking around naked in the locker room.

If you don't want to look at another guy's stuff then don't look.

I always walk naked from my locker to the shower..  Guess I've never notice guys as sensitive as you seem to be.
