  1. http://www.transportdirect.info/

    try above link

  2. There aint too many buses on a Sunday so i'd opt for the train.

  3. I don't think the train goes direct from Lockerbie to Glasgow. You would need to come to Dumfries and get the train from there.  Not sure about buses.

  4. "Gem" might live in Dumfries, but he/she has no idea about transport in Lockerbie - the answer is absolutely rubbish.

So, the CORRECT answer is YES. The details are

    1. Train

Lockerbie is on the West Coast Main Line (Glasgow to London). Trains from Glasgow Central (High Level) to Lockerbie on Saturday at 0750, 0918, 1148, 1310 and 1610. Trains from Lockerbie to Glasgow on Sunday at 1352, 1549, 1601, 1808, 2000 and 2203. Takes 70 minutes. BUT CHECK at your nearest station before travedlling, because weekend engineering works plays havoc with railway timetables.

    2. Coach

Stagecoach West Scotland service X74 operates between Glasgow and Moffat. There you change onto Stagecoach West Scotland service 382 to Lockerbie. The critical times are service X74, which operates four times a day on Monday to Saturday and two afternoon/evening journeys on Sunday. I need to do some research on the timings, but I will come back to you

    EDIT

From Glasgow on a Saturday, there are four options, thus:

Service X74 leaves Glasgow for Dumfries at 0900 and arrives Moffat at 1025; service 382 leaves Moffat at 1055 to arrive Lockerbie at 1132

Service X74 leaves Glasgow for Dumfries at 1200 and arrives Moffat at 1325; service 382 leaves Moffat at 1455 to arrive Lockerbie at 1537

Service X74 leaves Glasgow for Dumfries at 1500 and arrives Moffat at 1625; service 382 leaves Moffat at 1705 to arrive Lockerbie at 1742

Service X74 leaves Glasgow for Dumfries at 1800. As there is no connecting journey at Moffat, stay on the coach to Dumfries (Whitesands) arriving 2005; then take service 381 from Whitesands at 2040 to arrive Lockerbie at 2108.

From Lockerbie on a Sunday, you have three options:-

Leave Lockerbie at 1325 on service 382 to Moffat, arriving at 1359; service X74 leaves Moffat at 1625 to arrive Glasgow at 1750

Leave Lockerbie at 1345 on service 381 to Dumfries (Whitesands), arriving at 1413; service X74 leaves Dumfries (Whitesands) at 1545 to arrive Glasgow at 1750

Leave Lockerbie at 1630 on service 81 to Dumfries (Whitesands), arriving at 1701; service X74 leaves Dumfries (Whitesands) at 1745 to arrive Glasgow at 1950
