Locks for bags in US?

Hiii

I would just like to know that do we have to you a special lock for US? i was told my someone that the custom ppl break the lock.. and that we have to by a lock which only the custom ppl can open.. is it ture?

  1. all the bags go through x-ray inspection. If they see anything "suspicious", they will break your lock and leave a piece of paper stating they did that. On the other hand, it only happend to me once, after many several trips.

    However, you info is true: there is a special lock they can open without breaking it, although I have no idea where to buy it (plus, I only lost one cheap padlock, so no big deal)


  2. You need a TSA approved lock.  You can get them at a lot of places that sell travel accessories.  Try eBags.  A TSA approved lock is recognizable by a red diamond-shaped logo.  See below.
