Locks on luggage?

my question is can i put locks on my luggage so nothing gets stolen? i think i remember they did not allow locks on bags/suit cases a few years ago, and i dont even know if thats true at all. well im wondering about the current rules on locking your bags for air travel. thanks in advance.

  1. yes you have to put locks on it specially if you will check in your luggage. There are incidents that some of your stuff gets stolen because they can just open your luggae. Yes it is allowed and i very much recommend it


  2. You need to use TSA-approved locks [you can go to their website for details].  You could also use those plastic tie-locks that can just be cut through.

    You need to not put anything in your checked luggage that you can't afford to lose, because things can and do get stolen - even from carry-ons, according to a piece I saw on TV recently.

  3. even if you do put locks on the luggage they rip it right off so it doesnt matter. (it happended to me. i put a lock on then i saw them rip it right off.)
