Lode Vanquish seeking big success in Crayford’s 2013 Ladbrokes Golden Jacket - Heat 1
D. Henry’s trainee, Lode Vanquish is going the right way, and highly likely to play a major role in the opening heat of Crayford’s 2013 Ladbrokes Golden Jacket, to be held on February 2nd.
The brindle dog is performing quite consistently these days. After running a few good races in defeat at Henlow, he reached here on January 19th. With the help of a stunning effort, he captured the first rank comfortably by six and a quarter lengths.
By virtue of an excellent early pace, he led the proceedings very soon after the start. Retaining his advantage until the end, he gave his rivals no chance whatsoever.
It was not a fluke, as the dashing hound continued his wonderful work. On January 26th, he managed to get the second place despite a lot of mess in the beginning. Having done well twice over 714 metres, the son of Kingdom Law is full of spirit.
Therefore, it will surely be a very tough task for the rest of the back. Among his rivals are: Peggys Style, Aero Gaga, Eden Rumble, Carden Twilight, and King Lauchlan. The big meeting is due to start at 19:46 GMT. Alongside a place in the next round, the
champion will get a prize of 250 pounds.
Eden Rumble did not fare too well over C&D last weekend. The black dog was fifth in his previous two rides. Aero Gaga is a proven sort at the highest level over eight bends. Thus, one must not take him lightly. Ahead of a couple of good trials, he completed
the order of finish at Harold’s Cross.
Carden Twilight showed a lot of class when runner-up in Coronation Cup. This is an ideal opportunity for him to make some more fans. King Lauchlan is a risky option. On his recent venture here, the black dog was third on the table. A similar result is hard
to expect.
Peggys Style, the 2012 Yorkshire St Leger heroine, must step to be competitive in this meeting. The black b***h could only get the third place last time around. Good luck to all the hounds.
