Log-In Problems???????

Ok so i just installed xp pro and after the installation my comp. reboot, and i select my username but it asked for a password and i didnt set one? so i cannot goin, and THEN when i press F8 to boot in safe mode and select admin. there is a password for that too....so im oblivious on wut to do...help please thanks ppl

  1. with your additional information.. try using the same ctrl+alt+delete twice

    and now give the username as

    mycomputer/administrator

    and give the password as blank..

    might be this will work..

    or you need to format your system and reinstall the os.. remember to format the complete system before installing the os


  2. when you get to the screen to put the password in press ctrl+ alt+ delete twice, when the next screen pops up put administrator in the top and leave the password blank, then press enter.

  3. That is strange.  It sounds like XP installed on top of an old installation, but then the old passwords would work.  Did you format when you installed XP?

    The only thing I can think of is to boot to a CD like Hiren's Boot Disk that has a password remover on it.  That always does the trick for me!
