  1. do you look for the x?

    log base 3 (4x+7) - log base 3 x = 2

    log base 3 ((4x+7)/x) = 2

    3^2 = ((4x+7)/x)

    9 = ((4x+7)/x)

    9x = 4x+7

    9x-4x = 7

    5x = 7

    x = 7/5

    x = 1,4

  3. base = 3

    Log 4x+7 - log x = 2

    ' 2 ' with a base 3 =log 9

    Log 4x+7/x = log 9

    removing logs,

      4x+7/x = 9

    =4x+7 = 9x

    =5x = 7

    =x=7/5

    x= 1.4
