Logan Morrison busy in fund raising and rehabilitation during offseason - MLB Update
Left fielder for Miami Marlins, Logan Morrison who left 2012 regular season during September owing to knee injury, is going through a lengthy rehabilitation process. He is trying to recover as quickly as possible during the offseason in order to be ready
prior to the beginning of the next season.
While he rehabilitates, he continues with his charity related activities, using “LoMo: Camp for a Cure” as the platform to attract donors and collect donations for the American Lung Association.
Morrison was part of the Marlins’ abysmal campaign during the regular season. Along with the rest of the batters, he could not help the team offensively. Unfortunately, injuries also remained a big problem with him. They can be considered as one of the reasons
why he could not deliver his best.
Issues with his knee have been hampering his progress. At the moment, he has an ideal opportunity to detect the real cause of the problem and fix it.
Instead of going through intermittent stints on the disabled list in 2013 regular season just as happened with him during the recently concluded one, he will be looking to get rid of the knee injury once and for all.
Morrison is among the few personalities in Major League Baseball that are known for their compassion toward humanity and the various endeavours undertaken by them in this regard. He is passionate about his ambition to bring happiness on the faces of the
miserable masses.
“I heard a pretty good quote the other day,” Morrison said. “You race the course not to beat the competition. In regards to finding cures for cancer, you’re not trying to beat somebody else to a cure. Seeing the smiles on kids’ faces and prolonging a life,
that’s the most rewarding thing about it.”
He derives spiritual pleasure out of his involvement in the activities that are meant to please those less fortunate. In particular, he is conscious about the needs to take steps for helping cancer patients.
Morrison will be looking to amass as much money as possible through "Camp for a Cure” events and give it to the American Lung Association.
At the same time, he will want to recover from his injuries at the earliest and appear in Spring Training so that he can get the nod of the management for playing during the season.
