ok so im working on this stuff for alg 2.

but i dont get how.

Logx=5.6 is 10^5.6=x in exponential form.

Can someone please explain this to me.

Maybe i had a brain f**t or something.

Thank you :) have a nice day.

  1. Hi,

    When you see the word log in a problem with no base written as a subscript after it, that unwritten base is always 10.

    That base is always raised to the number on the other side as its exponent ( hence exponential form) equals the number behind the word log in the problem.

    So log 7 = .8451 is the same as 10^.8451 = 7

    log 2408 = 3.3817 is the same as 10^3.3817 = 2408

    log(2) 8 = 3 is the same as 2³ = 8.

    log(5) 1/25 = -2 is the same as 5^(-2) = 1/25.

    I hope that helps!! :-)

  2. I want you give me the best answer or I won't give you any star.

    So give me the best answer or i'll call Bilal bhai, the brother of Haris bhai, the nephew of Asif bhai and ideal of Altaf bhai ( mental )

  3. DEFINITION

    The LOG of a number to a given base is the index of the power to which the base must be raised to give the number.

    In this case we have :-

    log10  x = 5.6

    Base = 10

    Number = x

    Power = 5.6

    x = 10^(5.6) by using definition.
