Logitech X-540 Surround Sound 5.1 with HDMI?

Question

I have a ps3 and I am want to buy the HDMI cable for it to upscale dvds and for HD, but the issue with this surround sound is that it only hooks into component sound. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

after further research i can not support the above response. instead i offer this, a cable from Sony that will support 1080p and has a avg retail price of $30.00
