Logitech z5500 or Onkyo ht-sr600, or other?

I play ps3 games and blueray movies.

My budget is $220.00

I like sharp crystal clear sounds.

  1. Both have pretty good reviews re sound, so your choice should probably be based on what features are important to you.

    As far as computer speakers are concerned the Z5500 is considered the best 5.1 system and has fairly good flexibility re connections.  An HTIB like the Onkyo HT-SR600 isn't going to be the equal of more expensive systems but reviews from owners are very positive re value for money (a general feature of Onkyo components).

    Personally I would consider the extra input/output options on the Onkyo a plus, but if you want the majority of your $$ to go into the speakers and don't need the extra flexibility of a HT receiver, the Logitech is a good sounding system.
