The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 striker could be on the verge of securing a move away from Stade Velodrome with a move to Queens Park Rangers appearing more and more likely
Despite becoming more and more of an injury-prone player, France international, Loic Remy continuously attract glances from English Premier League sides. Initially, it was Tottenham Hotspur who were interested in signing the striker. However, the Spurs are
no more interested in signing the 25-year-old following the change in management at White Hart Lane.
Harry Redknapp has always been a big admirer of the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314, the English manager is keen on bringing Remy aboard and could consider making a move for him in the upcoming winter transfer
window.
Injured well before the Euro 2012, the striker failed to play for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 in that tournament. And, after the competition ended, Remy relapsed during a preseason game. Instead of him, Elie Baup started using Andre-Pierre Gignac who made a great start to the
new campaign with five goals in just nine games.
An injury to Gignac saw the introduction of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Ayew-c19098 whose goalscoring exploits mean that either Gignac or Remy could be spending more time on the bench. And, with Remy’s injury worries, it is likely that Gignac could possibly form a formidable striking
partnership with Ayew.
Keen to experience a new league, Remy would not be against the idea of playing in the English Premier League under the guidance of Redknapp who in the last winter transfer market, tried in vain to sign him for 20 million euros.
And, L’Equipe claims that the former West Ham manager could return on the case this winter with a check of around 10 million euros.
Furthermore, Remy’s management is not happy with the striker who has not really worked much on his body strength in a bid to reduce his proneness to injury. Furthermore, with their financial woes, Les Phoceens have always looked to reduce their wage bill
and could consider offloading a striker who despite all his talents, has never really won over Baup.
