I’m happy where I am, I was blocked in Lyon. Frustration? Inevitably, one wants to shine in his first club, with friends and family.
But I’m happy to be in Marseille. I meet my former colleagues without rancour. I would have loved to play in Lyon but hey, I never had a chance.”
However, despite all those early disappointments, Remy’s departure from the Rhone giants has been a blessing in disguise. After impressing at Nice, the youngster was signed by Marseille in the summer of 2010.
Since then, Remy’s career has turned around and he has become an important part of the French national team squad that will be playing in the European Championships this summer.
