Lol, my horse did yoga?

while i was grooming my horse outside, he did this weird thing. he put his front legs in front of him and leaned back. it was so cute! he did it five times in four days. my friend said it was a sign of affection. what does it mean>

  2. That sounds cute, but I do want to throw out a cautionary flag. Did he lean back just for a second and stop or did he stay there?

    The reason I say that is when horses stand with their front legs in front of them and lean back, sometimes it is because they are trying to get the weight off their front legs due to laminitis. So, is this something he is doing consistently? Can you check his feet for heat or irritation?

    If he is just striking a pose and then going back to a regular stance, then he's probably just being cute. If he stands like that consistently, you might want to chat with your vet.
