No, you didn't. This is a typical scam where the person asks you for some money before they can send you your winnings. Then, they don't send you any money.

A very good rule is 'If you haven't entered a lottery, you haven't won it'

NEVER EVER give your banking details to people unknown to you over the Internet.

Finally, even replying to such an email 'validates' your email existence so you will get more and more.

And by the way, offers of 15% or more to help transfer funds from Nigeria/Ivory Coast/West Indies etc etc are all scams as well.

I received a letter and called Richard Self and he just asked for my address and phone number and said the taxes would come out of the money and he would send me another letter in 3 days and to call him again and they would release my check is it true do you know yet have you received a check yet
