  1. they are lovely like soft meatballs in a rich onion gravy, lovely with mashed potatoes and mushy peas.dont laugh but my mother in law used to make a ****** curry.she was going to make a curry but when she started to make it she realised she had forgotten to take the meat out of the freezer so she used *******.all her family loved it and she also used to make corned beef curry too which they all loved.theres no accounting for taste.i have to say though she was a fabulous cook though and made delicious pastry and roast dinners and stews.she has been dead about 6 years now and i really miss her she was a hoot.i was very lucky to have such a lovely mother in law.

  2. Kind of meat balls. They are minced beef I think but with onions and some spices(not hot)in them. Try them they're good.

  3. ******* are normally are made from offal such as liver, heart, belly pork or bacon all chopped up finely or minced and shaped into balls a bit like large meat balls.  They are tradionally wrapped with a membrane from inside the pig's abdomen called caul (sp?) .  They are baked in the oven and then usually served in gravy.  Mr Brain's is a company that make processed *******.  They really don't resemble the real thing, but are easier to cook as they come in foil trays already in gravy.   I am not sure whether Brain's make ******* using offal, but they should still be made from pork (I think they contain liver).  You can usually buy proper ******* from traditional butcher's.

  4. A fine English delicacy best served with mushy peas. Yum.

  5. there meat balls

    brains is the maker,

nothing to do with the brain.

  6. brains ******* are like massive meatballs in gravy and they are lovely, one of my favourite child hood dishes

  7. Brains are the producers of these very tasty ******* in rich gravy. They mostly contain minced liver and pork. They make a lovely meal with mashed potatoes and some broccoli.

  8. Unfortunately, "Brains' *******" (whilst delicious) contain mainly liver and onion, so aren't proper *******, as described above.

They are also the size of a golf ball. Proper ******* are the size of a cricket ball (or baseball).

IMHO, the best ******* in the world are made by a butchers called Banables ( http://www.banables.com ), in Keynsham, just outside Bristol, UK. Two of their *******, mashed potato, mushy peas and onion gravy is a meal fit for a king.
