Lolita Lebron hopeful about the Wreake Fillies’ Conditions Stakes
In pursuit of the £6,931 prize money are seven three-year-old and above runners who will take the mile and 60 yard challenge in the form of the Class 3 Wreake Fillies’ Conditions Stakes on Tuesday, 16th October. The race at Leicester is down low
in the terms of the competition that it has brought forward. None of the fillies has come out successful from the last time that they were active.
Relatively more successful than the rest in the current season is the three-year-old bay filly, Lolita Lebron.
She has won thrice out of the seven seasonal outings. Throughout the two seasons, the Irish bay filly has not raced at Leicester, and today it will be her race track debut.
Royal Applause’s daughter cracked into the new season with a success in the White Rabbit Handicap (Division I) on 7th May, 2012 at the Beverley race course over 7 ½ furlongs.
The Lawrence Mullaney trained was paired up with jockey, Robert Winston. Breaking from the third gate, she raced on the inside, and then progressed on with the last two furlongs left. Taking a left, she maintained the lead in the final furlong, and defeated
Mick Slates by 1 ¼ lengths.
Coming at terms with the third position was, More Bottle.
The Irish bay filly missed the next two outings, and then exploited the line-up of the Trafford Centre Fashion Flutter Handicap on 29th June, 2012 at Chester race course over 7 ½ furlongs.
This time her partner in success was jockey, Daniel Tudhope, and the team defeated Ferdy by just half-length.
The last time that the bay filly out of, Alsharq, won was in the Speedflex (Europe) Ltd Supporting Chuf Handicap on 24th August, 2012 at Newcastle over seven furlongs.
The third win of the season came in with the third rider, Daryl Byrne. Taking advantage of the final length that was in their favour, Lolita Lebron defeated Dolly Diva.
She will become the mount of jockey, Joe Fanning, and the team has drawn the seventh gate to race from.
She will need to look out for, Gifted Girl and Russian Rave.
The competition in the field is not high, and a sincere effort by any of them can glorify their profile.
